The Monthly Nut: On the Road

Was up in Seattle for work on Thursday and Friday, so stayed over until Saturday a.m. to hang with Molly and Frank. We ate yummy food, played pinball and drank beer. Then they sent me home slightly fatter and happy to my wife.

Why is this man smiling?

Okay, so he's not really smiling but he's happy on the inside that our new shades will be protecting our artwork.

Future's So Bright

Future's so bright, gotta wear shades. Today we had 14 more shades installed, making our living room, dining room and kitchen semi-translucent.

A girl and her dog

Caroline is in NYC for a few days so I'm watching Luna. She's no ordinary dog. I mean, no ordinary dog would get fed like this.

Two more empty bottles

Two more empty bottles for the memory cellar. Last saturday night, Satya Patel and his wife Jaime, joined Drew Carpenter and his soon-to-be wife Christine for pasta, salad and Caroline's Pear Tartin.

Satya and Jaime brought over Honig wine which was particularly fun because Caroline and I stayed at the Honig's house in the days before our wedding.

Chef Wally at Google

Our friend Wally, owner of Wally's Food Co, also runs cooking parties for small and large groups. Here he is entertaining some Googlers with his wit and charm.

Nutraceutical chocolate

Okay follow this:

On Saturday Caroline went to the Ferry Building Farmer's Market with her friends Alton and Amy. Earlier in the week Amy went to the Fancy Foods Show. Amy writes notable food blog "Cooking with Amy" so she gets invited to lots of things. At the show, Amy got samples of NewTree chocolates. NewTree chocolates are nutraceuticals, meaning food with some sort of specific nutritional supplement or benefit. Caroline brought home two little NewTree squares. I ate them. They were good.

Tocca candles: indulgence of the day
